About the Programme

The West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI), in partnership with the Ford Foundation announces the Next Generation Technology Internship Programme; a six-month initiative designed to empower young graduates and civil society actors in West Africa to leverage technology for social good. This programme will run from February to July 2025, with locations in Accra, Ghana and Abuja, Nigeria.

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology solutions that support civil society organizations. Whether it’s using digital tools to amplify advocacy efforts, analyzing data to drive decisions, or deploying cloud-based technologies to improve service delivery, the programme offers a rich learning experience that will equip you with the skills and knowledge to thrive in the tech and social impact space.

Eligibility Criteria;

We are looking for passionate and tech-savvy young graduates with a strong interest in using technology for social good. Ideal candidates will meet the following criteria:

  • Education: Recent graduates with a degree in Computer ScienceInformation Technology (IT)Mathematics, or related fields.
  • Tech Skills: Proficient in digital marketing, data analysis, cloud tools, and other technology platforms.
  • Team-Oriented: Proactive, collaborative, and capable of working in dynamic teams.
  • Commitment: A strong passion for civil society development and making a tangible impact in communities.
  • Gender Diversity: Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply, as the programme aims to foster gender balance in the tech sector.
